The night before my first day at work I got sick. I wondered if it’s some kind of new stress-reaction for me to get sick before important events(last time I got sick was before my English test to UCA).
Fortunately I only had to throw up once, and after sleeping some more I felt much better. So I only worked the last two and a half hours of the day, but still better than nothing. And most important, I got the information I need for my job, and I got my kea(it goes to all the locks in the building!).
All students have left for the summer, and my job here right now is to, together with the two other cleaners, clean all the rooms, take the sheets to the laundry room and wash them, clean all the floors…and just clean everything: ) it’s not that hard at all.
However, after spending last night too with my head in the toilet, and nothing I tried to eat or drink would stay down, I started to get a bit concerned. What could be the matter? What was I doing wrong?
I came up with three theories:
Theory one: God’s punishment
Theory two: I have been eating something I shouldn’t
Theory three: I shouldn’t drink the tap water.
I found the third theory the most realistic. So after the day’s work was done( yes I did go to work today) I walked downtown Røra (I was almost blown away-literally. It's really stormy today) and bought a packet of carbon tablets and a big bottle of water. Now I’m just hoping to get some sleep next night.
And other news: cleaning just has to be the best job for a collector! Today I have found an old camera, a small Indian elephant made of tree(with big angry eyes), a keyring with a mini-sculpture of a man with a very big penis, a chinese lamp AND two white buttons with pink spots on: )
I'll put up pictures of all my treasures soon, and yes ok I will take a picture of my work-outfit too...maybe tomorrow..or on thursday. Thursday is me free day this week, and then I'll take the bus to Steinkjer to visit the Skatteetat(tax agency) to get my norwegian ID number, and tax card.
